The Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM) is part of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine at the University of Luxembourg. We conduct cutting-edge research that spans basic, translational, biomolecular, and computational approaches to tackle key challenges in human health and disease. Cancer biology is a central focus of our research efforts.
Health and Medicine is a strategic priority for the University and currently undergoing dynamic expansion. This growth opens exciting opportunities to broaden the Department''s research portfolio and engage with emerging trends in medical, biomedical, and nursing sciences.
In addition to its strong research mission, DLSM is responsible for coordinating all teaching programs in Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Professions.
Your role
In this context of high growth of the healthcare education, the role of the project officer consists in:
- Support the development and implementation of healthcare professional training curricula.
- Coordinate and follow up on implementation activities and communication with stakeholders from the health and academic sectors, both nationally and internationally.
- Organize meetings, task forces, and seminars; write minutes and reports; prepare working documents and finalize applications.
- Develop virtual simulation equipment for midwifery, radiology, and other allied healthcare education programs, and analyze cross-sectional areas with medical education to improve mutualization of equipment and courses.
- Liaise with stakeholders, drafting curricula, setting-up budgets, prepare accreditation applications in collaboration with national and international partners of allied healthcare education programs
- Serve as the contact person for the respective training programs
- Network with professors, teachers, clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders in the academic and Health Science field
- Support the development of research in Health Science, midwifery, radiology, primary care, public health, social sciences, psychology, digitalization, AI, and education sciences applied to healthcare professions
- Develop cooperation with LTPS (Lyce Technique pour Professions de Sant), and ENSA (cole nationale de la sant) for practical training in different teaching tracks
- Establish a network between experts for midwifery and radiology in the different hospitals, and the FHL (Fdration des -Hpitaux Luxembourgeois)
Your profile
- Master''s degree in a Health Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of relevant working experience in in Health Sciences, project coordination, and multi-level stakeholder interaction; certification in project, program, or portfolio management (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, or MoP), will be considered a strong advantage.
- Proven experience in Midwifery and/or Radiology, particularly within an academic or higher education setting, will be considered a strong asset.
- Ability to coordinate and organize complex and multidisciplinary projects involving multiple internal and external parties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Full proficiency in French (C2), very good knowledge in English (B2); knowledge of German or Luxembourgish is a plus
- Strong communication skills
