Job Title: Lead Commissioning Engineer
Rotation: 2 week shifts
This is an urgent position that requires someone who can be available at short notice, has valid GWO certificates and has the right to work in Europe without sponorship.
- Lead commissioning activities for offshore wind substation systems including HVAC/HVDC equipment, MV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and SCADA integration.
- Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless execution of commissioning procedures in line with offshore wind standards (e.g., DNV, IEC).
- Manage pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, and energization phases for electrical and control systems on the OSS platform.
- Oversee safety-critical processes including isolation, LOTO, and energization protocols in compliance with offshore HSE regulations.
- Resolve technical issues on-site and ensure rapid decision-making to minimize downtime and meet project milestones.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to commissioning teams across disciplines (electrical, automation, mechanical).
- Maintain accurate records and commissioning reports to support project handover, warranty, and regulatory documentation.
- Act as the main point of contact for client representatives during commissioning and readiness reviews.
