We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Finance team in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In this role role you will ensure timeliness and accuracy of all tax provision/returns, compliance with tax laws and create tax efficiencies for the company within the European context. Your will be responsible with making sure that local tax planning and strategies are in line with group global strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all operations and transactions are structured in a tax efficient manner relate all localized planning to the group global strategy, covering the jurisdictions in which GAR operates
- Advise and assist on transfer pricing issues and documentation, ensure compliance and promote best practices
- Ensure tax-efficient financing arrangements of downstream operations, in relation to minimizing withholding taxes, managing thin capitalization issues and optimize tax benefits
- Calculate, prepare and/ or review all tax returns to ensure compliance and timeliness of reporting for direct tax, indirect taxes and domestic top-up tax
- Calculate monthly tax provision and annual deferred tax for statutory and management reporting and eview tax disclosure notes in statutory audit report
- Work together with local authorities when needed
- Advise stakeholders handle customers matters if the case
Requirements
- Bachelors degree level
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in a global trading, commodities, or financial services business is a plus
- Knowledge of tax and customs frameworks
- Experience with VAT Automation
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Experience in a global trading, commodities, or financial services business is a plus
