Position Summary
- Manage the MRP planned / purchased orders
- To create supply orders and schedules where the process is not automated.
- Ensure schedules are placed with suppliers to agreed time frames.
- Ensure supply delivery to due date to various European Warehouses.
- To progress, expedite and resolve customer service and supply queries
- To provide delivery promises to CST
- To manage the supply order book and manage supplier development including vendor owned/managed inventory programmes.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage MRP planning / purchasing activity so that sales orders can be delivered on time and in full.
- Manage the purchasing activity so that the inventory is optimally balanced with the demand.
- The purchasing responsibility includes all Purchase Order creation and follow-up of the assigned suppliers who deliver to the Bornem Pelsis location.
- The suppliers include also intercompany supply and demand relations.
- Design and deploy in Dynamics 365 an overall process to execute, control and report purchase order process.
- De-risk business by pro-active purchase order placement.
- Analyse and communicate based on experience improvements for purchase order parameter setting in coordination with supplier, procurement and supply chain management.
- Provide management reports on staff performance availability, stock and supplier performance as necessary.
- Liaising with and feedback demand problems with Production Planners and Supply problems with Sales department.
Qualifications
- Record of achieving tangible results from Supplier Management.
- A supply chain/purchasing/manufacturing experience, experience and use of MRP planning, with project management and preferably supplier development experience.
- Demonstrated focus on detailed and repetitive process execution.
- Demonstrated focus to identify solutions in case of supply interruptions.
- Ability to operate in a freedom within a framework model.
- Understanding of purchase order management that is integrated in the overall master supply chain planning of the group.
- Results and action oriented. A determined and can-do attitude.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems - MRP planning e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
- Bachelor level qualification.
- 2 years purchasing experience as a minimum.
- Time management skills.
- High level of numeracy and accuracy.
- Experience with Supplier Development programme and performance improvement project management.
