Role purpose: This role involves the design anddevelopment of new products, systems, and components, as well asthe improvement of existing ones. It includes the technicalcoordination of product development, focusing on embedded systemsand software architecture. Responsibilities include meetingcustomer requirements, complying with legal standards, ensuringproduct quality, and promoting innovation and efficiency. Keyaccountabilities and decision ownership: - Produce documentationregarding system architecture, traceability with customerrequirements, and system verification criteria. - Supportmodel-based simulations to verify algorithm design options andsuggest improvements. - Develop software and hardwarearchitectures, manage software requirements, and perform riskanalysis. - Support field return analysis and promote continuousimprovement of internal design standards. - Cooperate with theProject Management department to build the project plan and budgetfor each feasibility study, issuing a specific product developmentplan (work packages, risks, etc.). - Ensure work packages alignwith the project plan, expected quality level, and timing, promptlyreporting any deviations to management. - Map and monitor thedevelopment process, proposing and implementing improvements toincrease efficiency and effectiveness. - Specifically, manage andcoordinate the design, simulation, and validation activities forradar systems (up to 60 GHz), integrating expertise in signaltheory, microwave technology, and embedded firmware development todeliver advanced solutions. Knowledge and experience: - Strongcommunication skills. - Excellent planning, prioritization, andorganization abilities. - Engineering skills specific to thediscipline. - Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset. -Proficiency in SysML/UML. - Solid understanding of systemengineering principles. - Knowledge of vehicle communication buses(LIN, CAN, etc.). - Understanding of automotive standards (ISO/TS16949, Automotive SPiCE) and safety-critical systems (ISO 26262). -Expertise in embedded systems, MQTT, 4G/5G networks, and RTOSenvironments (for connected devices). - Proficiency in model-baseddesign tools such as MATLAB and Simulink, and vibration andacoustic simulation (nice to have). - In-depth expertise in signaltheory, microwave technologies, and 60 GHz radar systems, includingsignal processing techniques and data validation. - Experience withautomatic code generation using Simulink Coder for small embeddedsystem targets, focusing on resource optimization and performance.- Preferable to have experience in cybersecurity measures forembedded systems (ISO 21434). Professional qualifications: - Degreein electronic/computer science or a similar qualification. - 810years of experience in engineering. - Good knowledge of written andspoken English.
