Aceolution is urgently looking for a local resident in Paris, France, fluent in English and the local language, with a strong understanding of automotive industry trends, local transportation, speed limits, and road regulations. This person will be hired for the position of Local Expert.
Urban Planner / Locality Expert/ Transit Planner/ Traffic Planner

Job Summary:
The team will be responsible for:
- Conducting market research on automotive industry trends.
- P0: Speed limits, electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS).
- P1: Other advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- Collaborating with the policy team to develop policies and provide local context as needed
- Performing quality checks and random audits to identify quality issues.
- Creating a national quality indicator and conducting field visits to provide feedback and data to client working groups.
- Acting as the country point of contact for questions from other teams as well as for other basic mapping features, excluding transportation.
- Collecting region-specific implicit/legal speed limits and associated rules (e.g., urban roads at 20 km/h vs. national rule at 30 km/h).
- Researching press articles, government notices, roadworks, or other agencies during maintenance or planned repairs.
- Identifying special cases (unique variations of signs, polygonal logic in urban areas, etc.) that might be overlooked, as well as gaps in algorithms.
- Providing recommendations to proactively prioritize issues based on local knowledge (e.g., which missing signs cause the most problems, which errors are most critical for users).
- Supporting proactive approaches with government and transport authorities to understand upcoming changes, systemic issues related to our data, etc. (distinct from the Partnerships and Outreach team responsible for data collection).
- Supporting partnership and outreach teams with local knowledge and context as needed
- Advising on all types of road signs to provide local context, understanding, and interpretation of different traffic signs.
- Assisting in quality assurance and national certification processes to ensure and maintain the highest quality standards in the assigned country.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, urban planning, traffic, transportation, or road signage.
- Good knowledge of market research methodologies and techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the local language and English
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
