This is a fully remote opportunity open to contractors based in the EU who are passionate about building scalable, user-facing products used by millions.

About the Role
You will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering large-scale, customer-facing platforms. The work is focused on building and maintaining backend services using modern .NET and cloud technologies. The product stack supports millions of users and involves complex integrations, real-time data, and media streaming features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop backend features using .NET
- Design and maintain cloud-native microservices on Azure
- Build and integrate with APIs used by end-users across web and mobile platforms
- Contribute to system design discussions and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested code in an Agile team setting
Required Experience:
- Strong commercial experience with modern .NET (Core or .NET 58)
- Cloud-based development on Azure
- Microservices architecture in production environments
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular
- Experience building and maintaining external, customer-facing applications
- Proven background working on large-scale, high-traffic products
- Exposure to messaging/streaming technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ServiceBus
- Previous experience working in tech-first or software product companies
- Fluent in English language
Desirable:
- Experience in the media, streaming, or entertainment sectors
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in a fully distributed, remote-first environment
