OBXtek is staffing for a contingent Forward Planner to work on the GLASS augmentation program supporting the Army Sustainment Command. This project supports the Global Logistic and Support Services (GLASS) augmentation program for the Army Sustainment Command (ASC), its subordinate commands, and Army Contracting Command Rock Island (ACC-RI). This position is contingent upon contract award.GLASS provides essential Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to support the Armys Materiel Enterprise and supporting programs and staff support functions. GLASS is a multi-year, multi-faceted, global program with a heavy focus on logistics, concepts, processes, and operational and technical support.The general tasks for this position will be:Assist in planning, logistics estimates, concepts of support, and coordination with joint service component commands and subordinate headquarters. Broad thought and experience are required to understand the effects of long-range, near-term, and current operations into the build of theater posture; related to contingency plans, the contractor shall provide detailed analysis to integrate those current assets that reside within the theater and recommend additional forces as required.Develop detailed concepts suitable for presentation at the three- and four-star level, utilizing an in-depth knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration.Translate those concepts into detailed executable plans and create Time Phased Force Deployment Data to support mobilization of assets.Travel to remote locations and provide site survey estimates for emerging mission requirements, if required.Quantify life support requirements and translate these into complete estimates for submission to engineering planners for base materials estimates.Integrate strategic direction into a command message that encompasses the future design of operations into communications that engage all partners in the sustainment enterprise.Research and respond to inquiries.Assist with managing regional and worldwide plans, collaborating with the AFSB.Perform in-depth research and analysis of emerging policy, regulations, directives, or industrial issues.Provide assistance with preparing briefings and special studies.Update and maintain operations and plans files in SharePoint.Monitor and track changing requirements.Review and perform gap analysis for OPLANs and CONPLANs.Monitor events involving ongoing operations and exercises.Participate in training and exercise events.Research and develop course curricula.Assist in the development and management of Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects.Assist in developing and updating exercise event scheduling requirements.Assist in conducting training courses for government personnel.QualificationsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Experience:Minimum of 20 years of work experience, with at least 15 years relevant to long-range, near-term, and current logistics operations, training, and planning.At least 10 years experience collaborating with joint, Army, or component-level headquarters to develop and execute logistics, supply management, and transportation plans supporting warfighter operations.Proficiency with the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Tool Program.Functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).Broad knowledge of the Army sustainment enterprise and its relation to other headquarters, USTRANSCOM, and ASCC headquarters to ensure strategic communication lines are established.Recent experience working at the one-star or higher command level.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.Education / Certifications:None specified.Security ClearanceSecretCompany InformationCOVID Policy: Employees must adhere to OBXteks vaccination policy, including full vaccination verification before employment start, unless an accommodation is approved.
