YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Buyer You analyze and optimizeprocurement needs as assigned by the Head of Purchasing. Youmaintain continuous contact with internal business partners (themaintenance & project technicians and engineers) to anticipatetheir procurement needs. You are in charge of the procurementprocess: Define the appropriate strategy together with yourbusiness partner. Identify potential suppliers and organizeconsultations. Conduct tenders, negotiate terms & conditions,and implement contracts. Ensure proper setup of purchase orders andassist in discussions with suppliers in case of issues withdelivery or execution of the works; Apply Groups rules, Health,Safety, Sustainable Development policies, and Ethics standards.Document savings according to Groups rules. You participate instatus and team meetings, support local supplier managementactivities, and facilitate issue resolution with Accounting andBusiness. YOUNGGRADUATEBE You have a Master degree in a field whereyou have developed your analytical, problem solving andcommunication skills. A professional experience of 2/3 years is aplus. You speak Dutch and English . If your French is not fluentenough you are ready to invest yourself in becoming up to speed(courses are paid by ENGIE) You understand that you can onlydevelop a business partnership by being physically there where thepower plants and your Business Partners are (port of Antwerp,Ghent, Bruges and Brussels area) and flexible to visit(occasionally) suppliers. You like to deep-dive into the subjectmatter in order to obtain a good compromise or solution for ENGIEduring negotiations and discussions. You re well-organized, a goodcommunicator and you want to add value. On-the-job training &coaching by seasoned senior procurement specialists and managerswho know the tricks of the trade.
