I am currently supporting our clientin their search for a Senior PPA Energy Management Director to join their established and growing team based in Milan. My client are an integrated European energy company, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets. In addition, they also have a Renewable Energy arm of the company where the goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green assets portfolio - consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants. The objective of the role is the management of PPA and Energy Management activities of the company, with respective team management responsibilities, and supporting operative and strategic decision making - advocating the companys economic interests. Responsibilities:
Establish and lead a high-performing PPA and energy management team
Effectively execute on defined energy management Key Performance Indicators (KPI) across various technoligies and geographies
Own and drive the Companys renewable energy offtake and risk management strategy
Continuously monitor and report on energy market developments, offtake and innovative hedging solutions
Provide market insights and power price curves that are the cornerstone of investment valuation, MA activity, business planning and the development of structured products
Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Member of the management team, presenting at Board level
Proactively drive internal process enhancement and operational excellence initiatives Desired Skills:
Approximately 7-10 years of experience with PPA and energy management
Preferred location: Milan, Italy
Experience in managing complex project development cycles with aggressive targets and short deadlines
Solid understanding of the European energy market
Capability to work autonomously, with limited supervision, in an exciting, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
