Job description:
As Risk Management Officer you will:
- Be part of the Risk Management team of the Management Company, reporting directly to the Conducting Officer in charge of Risk Management;
- Ensure that Risk Management Process addresses all risks to which the funds are exposed;
- Perform initial and ongoing risk assessments for each fund managed;
- Assist in performing the day-to-day risk monitoring including the calculation of risk based exposures and limits as well as stress testing and back testing (when applicable);
- Participate in producing regular and ad-hoc risk related reports to regulators, for Senior Management and Board of Directors of the Management Company outlining the current level of various risks incurred by each any actual or foreseeable breach to their limits;
- Participate in various projects focused on implementing/enhancing risk measurement tools used in Management Company and setting up reports for internal and external usage.
- Support the monitoring of investment compliance of the funds under management;
- Keep track of and follow-up on incidents linked to UCI Administrators;
- Assist in undertaking both initial and ongoing due diligence on UCI Administrators and Depositary, including review of documentation received and reporting of findings;
- Assist in the review of the quality of service received, including without limitation independent checks on the accuracy of NAV calculations and funds'' financial statement review, and ensure that issues are appropriately identified and addressed;
- Ensuring follow-up on the detected improvement points and proper escalation to the governing bodies if needed;
- Assist in the organization of the various Committees needed within the framework of the Management Company''s activity (UCI Administration Oversight, Pricing & Valuation, Fund Financial Statement Review): meetings'' requests, preparing agenda and gathering of the supporting documentation, drafting minutes, follow-up on the action points;
- Assist in preparation of reports to the Board of Directors of the Management Company and Funds'' Board of Directors;
- Assist in preparation of invoices for services rendered to the funds;
- Participate in proactive identification of potential risks in processes/structures;
- Support more junior members of the team by providing them guidance, coordinating their work and sharing knowledge;
- Assist in the analysis and implementation of regulatory changes (CSSF Circulars, UCITS, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines);
- Be involved in various internal projects.
Your Profile:
- Academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent;
- Professional qualifications (CAIA, CFA, FRM) would be considered an advantage;
- At least 5 years of experience in Luxembourg fund services industry, preferably within Asset Management Company (UCITS V and AIFM);
- Experience in UCI Administration (TA, FA, Pricing & Valuation, Investment Compliance, Fund Financial Statement preparation/review) and Depositary/Custody activities would be significant advantage;
- Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English;
- Able to write clearly, to define and review procedures and to produce comprehensive reports;
- Able to work independently and well organised;
- Hands-on and can-do attitude;
- Understanding of risks related to financial instruments;
- Good understanding of financial mathematics, statistics and modellin
