Were partnering with a cutting-edge medical device company based in The Hague to find a skilled Mechanical Engineer whos ready to take full ownership of complex mechanical development projectsfrom early concept through to deployment in the field. This is a hands-on, creative engineering role that blends technical depth with innovation, teamwork, and customer interaction.
Your role will involve:
- Designing and developing a wide range of mechanical systems and components, including optomechanical assemblies, sensor housings, and device enclosures.
- Working closely with a cross-functional team of engineers and medical professionals to brainstorm, develop, and refine design concepts.
- Taking full ownership of mechanical designs within the teamoverseeing quality, timelines, documentation, and cost efficiency throughout the development process.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and clients, managing technical discussions, quoting processes, and issue resolution when challenges arise.
- Proactively spotting technical risks and addressing them with smart, preventative solutions.
- Flagging and resolving issues quickly and constructively, involving relevant team members when needed to keep things on track.
What were looking for:
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field.
- Solid experience leading product development projects, with a strong sense of accountability from concept to completion.
- Strong skills in 3D modeling and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
- A good understanding of design for manufacturability, component testing, and experience with GD&T and machined parts.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys bringing ideas to life that make a real-world impact.
