**Minimum Requirements**:Minimum B Degree (Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics) or relevant NQF 7 equivalent qualificationMinimum of 5 years relevant experience in Ballistic testing, Environmental testing, Rockets and Detonic testing and Munition ProofingManagement Courses/Certification is desirableKnowledge of Test data analysis and evaluationOHS Act and Explosive regulations knowledgeTest Facility Design & Establishment and ManagementA flexible, independent, strategic and analytical thinker with thoroughness and tenacityA high concern for standards / efficiency / effectiveness and results orientatedGood initiative with high sense of information seeking and good problem solving skillsMust have excellent customer orientation and equipped with good rational persuasion competenceFully computer literate and ability to work on different quality / statistical / MS Software and document configuration systems**Duties & Responsibilities**:**Reporting to the Executive Manager**: Quality in the Business Systems DivisionFormulate and implement a new strategic direction for the Product Qualification departmentEstablish, measure and monitor key objectives (in line with overall company objectives) within the departmentReview of current facilities / infrastructure / technology for suitability to testing and customer requirementsEstablish and document satisfactions / complaints from internal / external customers with the aim of continual improvementStandardization of operating / test instructions in the Product qualification departmentFacilitate the necessary skills development / training needs analysis within the department as well as succession planning with the aim of optimization of manpowerTo control expenses within approved BudgetDirect the work of Electronic Design &Testing; personnel so that client satisfaction is ensuredDirect the acquisition, management and maintenance of test facilities and equipment to optimize the testing serviceEstablish new test methods and equipment to adhere to current and latest test specifications and international test standardsDirect and approve activities, procedures and processes in the danger area (and facilities outside the danger area) in accordance with the Explosives Regulations and the OHS Act in generalApprove Hazard Analyses and Risk Assessments to ensure that explosives related activities are in accordance with health and safety standards incorporated in the Explosives RegulationsEvaluate and analyze test data to ensure test specifications are met and assist in evaluation of products according to test specifications and international test standards and proceduresLiaising / consulting with the respective Testing Engineers with regards to testing and test data analysisPlanning and scheduling of tests and regular execution of tests (instrumentation) and analysis of test dataAuditing of documented procedural safety during testing in accordance with the Explosives Regulations and the OHS Act- Review of SHE training procedures within the respective test facilities / area in line with Explosives Regulations
