A growing engineering company active in the construction sector is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team in Leuven. Responsibilities
- Create technical drawings and mechanical designs using AutoCAD for custom architectural structures.
- Bridge architectural concepts with mechanical execution, ensuring designs are both functional and manufacturable.
- Collaborate with a compact, experienced team on complex, high-volume projects.
- Take part in regular design reviews and knowledge-sharing discussions.
Profile
- Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in mechanical drafting or technical drawing.
- Background in construction or architectural component design (e.g., faades, windows, doors) is highly valued.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus, or a willingness to learn basic phrases for day-to-day interaction.
- Strong visual-spatial thinking, technical curiosity, and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working in a close-knit team and contributing across disciplines.
