Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Last Mile Operations Specialist to oversee the daily operations of our depot facilities across Italy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth running of all depot activities, including the management of staff, inventory, and logistics processes.
The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage depot operations (including several trips across Italy), ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures
Oversee the work of depot staff (scheduling, training, and performance management)
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control and timely replenishment
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate dispatch and delivery of parcels
Implement and maintain health and safety standards within the depot
Resolve any operational issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively
Prepare and analyze operational reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure depot environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a logistics, warehousing, or distribution environment
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Fluency in Italian; proficiency in English is a plus.
