Are you ready to develop your career in accounting and finance? At Astek, we''re looking for a motivated accountant to oversee the financial operations of our entities in Belgium from Madrid, together with our other accountants for Europe. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a financial hub for the Belgian market, with potential for future expansion.
Your Mission :
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for producing accurate financial statements for our Belgian entities. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Comprehensive Accounting: Manage a complete set of accounts for assigned companies, covering daily operations, general accounting, customer and supplier transactions, payroll, and tax-related matters (including HR taxes).
- Financial Closing: Ensure monthly account closures and review financial statements while collaborating with our shared finance team to address aged items.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, legal teams, and various business owners to develop and enhance policies and processes, driving key system initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, including corporate secretaries, auditors, and tax agents, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of financial information by verifying data capture and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Center of Excellence: Lead the establishment of an accounting delivery center for European countries, with a target timeline of one year.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Take on special projects and tasks as assigned by your direct or dotted line supervisor.
Your Background :
- You have a degree in Accounting
- Fluency in both English and French.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience, including expertise in tax and payroll.

- Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and proactive.
- Capable of working independently and traveling between different entities as needed.
- Comfortable working with a manager located abroad.
