What are we looking for?We are looking for a Murex Business Analyst with a strong functional understanding of the Murex Mx.3 platform to join our Capital Markets team. The successful candidate will work closely with front office, risk, operations, and finance teams to analyze business needs, design functional solutions, and support Murex configuration and testing activities.
ResponsibilitiesAct as a bridge between business users and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.Configure Murex for new financial products, workflows, and market data inputs across modules (FO, BO, Risk, Accounting).Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle, from trade booking and validation to settlement and reporting.Analyze and troubleshoot functional issues across Murex components: trade events, workflows, pricing, static data, etc.Collaborate with developers and support teams to implement enhancements and resolve incidents.Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and help design functional solutions aligned with best practices.Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), defining test cases, validating results, and coordinating defect resolution.Assist in regulatory reporting configuration and compliance support (e.g., FRTB, IFRS 9, EMIR, Dodd-Frank).Support data quality initiatives and configuration changes across market data, curves, and risk measures.
Mandatory Requirements4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Murex Mx.3 environments.Strong knowledge of financial products (FX, IRD, EQD, Credit, Fixed Income) and their representation in Murex.Hands-on experience in configuring Murex components like trade templates, workflows, static data, and pricing models.Proficiency in trade lifecycle processes, including validation, settlement, P&L, and risk reporting.Solid understanding of Murex FO/BO/Risk modules and associated configuration.Ability to write clear functional specifications, business requirement documents (BRDs), and test cases.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with both business users and technical teams.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Ability to prioritize competing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with a solution-driven mindset.Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.Desirable RequirementsExperience in Datamart reporting, MxML workflows, and regulatory configuration.Knowledge of Murex upgrades, migrations, or implementation projects.Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel VBA, and SQL for analysis and documentation.Exposure to Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
