Job description: The Digital Workspace is a core service provided by the ICT Division, delivered through a hybrid infrastructure combining on-premises and cloud-based solutions. The ongoing transition to the cloud has already enhanced flexibility, scalability, security, and innovation capacity. Looking ahead, the focus will be on further improving user experience and operational effectiveness through the integration of mobile devices and deployment of advanced cloud services. To support this evolving environment, ICT Cloud and Digital Workspace Engineers will play a key role in the operation, integration, administration, and continuous improvement of the underlying infrastructure. We are seeking professionals with around five years of experience, who are adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow with emerging technologies and processes. Reporting to the ICT Digital Workspace and Datacenter Lead, and working closely with all IT teams, the successful candidates will contribute to the development and optimisation of EUMETSAT''s digital workspace and its supporting systems. The ICT Digital Workspace Infrastructure is primarily based on Microsoft technologies (both on-premises and cloud), VMware, and complementary tools that enhance functionality, security, resilience, and operational efficiency. What you''ll be doing Administering and enhancing on-premises and cloud solutions to ensure continuous availability of ICT services; Participating in the design and evolution of the ICT infrastructure, including supporting the procurement of new solutions; Implementing and maintaining digital workspace and datacenter solutions, and integrating them with existing infrastructure; Maintaining and improving EUMETSAT''s security posture through regular maintenance and deployment of new security solutions; Supporting integration and connectivity of the ICT infrastructure with internal and external computing environments; Managing end-user devices, including laptops and mobile phones; Performing configuration and change management activities; Automating routine maintenance tasks and contributing to ongoing infrastructure improvements. Required profile: Requirements Qualifications University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering. Skills and Experience Essential: Proven experience in at least two of the following areas: Administration of Azure resources (e.g. virtual machines, networks, storage accounts), along with Azure Arc and management of access controls and policies; Integration of third-party services and enterprise applications with Entra ID and Active Directory, focusing on SSO, access management, and authentication configuration; Windows server and client administration, including patching, policy management, and troubleshooting; Microsoft 365 administration and device management using Microsoft Intune. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python) and preferably in writing queries using KQL for log analysis and monitoring; Sound understanding of datacenter and network technologies; Familiarity with ITIL practices, particularly in change management, incident handling, and reporting; A structured, problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset; A strong sense of ownership and accountability. Desirable: Certification in Microsoft Cloud and Endpoint Management technologies; Certification in the ITIL framework; Certification or demonstrated experience working within an ISO 27001 environment.
