Atyour site, youll lead other managers and create the operationalplan that helps your teams meet their targets. This role is allabout driving operational excellence to create the Amazon oftomorrow. Key job responsibilities Manage and develop a team ofArea Managers Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues,and positively impact site performance Analyse shift performanceagainst relevant business objectives, and put in place actions toimprove our operational excellence Work closely with other supportteams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and SecurityDesign and deliver initiatives across the sites to improveoperational performance A day in the life Youll lead shifts at oneof our operational sites. Youll also be the key link between anumber of teams, including finance, safety and operationsintegration teams. That means youll be close to the day-to-dayoperations at your site but also contribute to new ways to innovateat your site. A typical day will involve meetings with differentareas of the business, deep diving into performance and riskmetrics for sites, and looking ahead to prepare for differentlevels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring andcoaching your team. Youll be a source of leadership and supportyour team to be the best managers they can be. About the teamAmazon couldnt deliver at pace without the Amazon TransportationService (ATS) team. As part of ATS, youll be welcomed into adiverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air,sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped withthe latest technology, youll help Amazons transport run atmaximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drivedecisions. They are key to making Amazon more innovative andefficient. We put safety first as our people are our priority. A degreeRelevant experience in people and stakeholder management Advancedproficiency in verbal and written English and intermediateproficiency in the local language Relevant experience in using dataor anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions Relevantexperience in key areas of production and supply chains Preferredqualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.If you have all the basic qualifications above, wed love to hearfrom you.
