Compliance Operating Head - Vice-Director, Gland
This role oversees the BAU, day-to-day activities of the Compliance Department, supporting the Group Head of Compliance to ensure efficient, consistent operations aligned with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is autonomous, solution-oriented, with extensive hands-on experience in compliance operations, capable of analyzing complex cases and exercising sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- BAU Oversight: Manage routine compliance activities including onboarding, monitoring, reporting, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Process Management: Ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement of compliance workflows and controls.
- Monitoring & Tracking: Track compliance deliverables and escalate issues as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and support internal report preparation.
- Internal Memo Review: Review compliance memos for clarity, consistency, and policy alignment.
- Case Analysis & Decision Support: Analyze complex cases and provide recommendations in coordination with the Group Head.
- Team Support: Support compliance managers and officers in BAU activities.
- Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate risks, delays, or inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Law, Economics, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience in compliance operations or regulatory roles.
- Ability to work autonomously, analyze issues, and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory environments.
- CAS in Financial Services is a plus.
- Experience in managing compliance procedures within complex organizations.
