Operating out of Luxembourg and Brussels, Edda International manages large International Institutions Framework Contracts delivering Information Technology services across Europe.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORFull-Stack Developer European CommissionWe seek a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our clients team on a high-impact project within the European Commission. The role involves developing innovative solutions that enhance research, technology, and innovation capabilities across Europe. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications supporting the European Commissions initiatives in sustainable development and scientific progress.YOUR TASKSDevelop and maintain full-stack applications using Java (JEE) and Spring, ensuring high code quality and system integrity.Work extensively with Angular (2+), Java SE, Java 8, and Java 11, integrating modern UI paradigms and client-side scripting.Design and implement SOAP web services on Oracle WebLogic and utilize Oracle middleware products.Collaborate on multi-tier architecture, integrating standards/APIs such as XSD, SOAP, JAX-WS, and JAXB.Manage and optimize relational databases, especially Oracle and SQL.Apply expertise in Message-Oriented Middleware/Enterprise Service Bus technologies and RESTful paradigms.Contribute to microservices architecture and CI/CD workflows, using tools like Jenkins and Sonar.Develop reusable components, leveraging UML and object-oriented design principles.Participate in Agile/Scrum teams, supporting continuous integration and development.YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEOver 7 years of experience in Java (JEE) and Spring, with expertise in Java SE, Java 8, Java 11, and Angular 2+ (Angular 6+ a plus).Proven experience with SOAP web services on Oracle WebLogic, Oracle SOA Suite, and APIs such as XSD, SOAP, JAX-WS.Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL).Experience with UI paradigms, microservices, and RESTful design.Extensive experience with testing, CI/CD processes, and tools like Jenkins and Sonar.Proficiency with XML, HTML, Maven, JSON, PL/SQL, GIT, and related tools.Excellent communication skills in English (B2/C1+ level), capable of working independently and within teams.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis is a permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits, or a freelance contract with a leading European tech firm. Location is Brussels, Belgium, with options for home-working or onsite within 2 hours, up to 5 days/month.
