About The Role About this opportunity Experiencedprofessional responsible for cost management service delivery forreal estate projects from early cost advice to the settlement ofthe final account. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering businessobjectives. - Positively engaging with Customers and developing,growing and maintaining Customer relationships. - Deliveringhigh-quality services and ensuring that cost managementdeliverables meet Customers requirements. - Preparing andpresenting the order of cost estimates and option studies. - Costplanning. - Cost-in-use studies - study of the cost of buildingmaintenance. - Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.- Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process,including designing tender marking schemes. - Preparing bids forservices. - Evaluating and reporting on tenders. - Valuingcompleted work and arranging for payments. - Settling finalaccounts. - Providing technical advice on legal and contractualissues relating to construction projects. - Administering contractsas Contract Administrator or Employers Agent. - Producing andpresenting reports to Customers. - Mentoring and coaching employeesto their full potential. - Managing service delivery for profit. -Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or thatmight arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact onGleeds'' professional indemnity (PI) insurance As a Gleeds teammember, you will have access to: - Opportunities to develop andgrow your career - Employee Assistance Programme About TheCandidate Who were looking for: Qualifications - BSc QuantitySurveying or RICS-accredited Quantity Surveying qualification.Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills - Sound cost managementexperience in major construction projects covering pre-contract andconstruction / post-contract cost management tasks. - 8+ years ofprofessional experience in the construction industry. Experience inhospitality real estate is desirable. - Experience of work inFrance or knowledge of French construction practice is desirable. -Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies,including tendering and contract strategies. - Understanding oflegislation impacting building contracts - Clear and effectivecommunication skills - both oral and written - Methodical way ofthinking and approach to work - Organisational skills and theability to quickly adapt to changing environments. - Excellentproblem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills -Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook,Word, Excel and PowerPoint; - Ability to work as part of a team andmanage teams. - Proficiency in English and a good level of French.- Based in Paris with possibly some travel.
