Standish Management (Luxembourg) S. r.l. is composed of 20 employees. Role Title: Depositary Officer Reports to: Head of Depositary and IT Role Purpose: Perform all day-to-day operations of the Depositary and to develop and maintain a trusted relationship with our clients. Role Description and Key Responsibilities: Perform Safekeeping, Oversight, and Cash Flow Monitoring Duties for Alternative Funds, in compliance with Luxembourg Laws and Regulations, and in accordance with the relevant internal policies and agreements with clients; Monitor for changes to relevant laws and regulations applicable to Luxembourg depositary, analyse such changes on a timely basis and advise the Head of Depositary on the implications for the Company in Luxembourg. Assist the Head of Depositary with the implementation of such change on a timely basis and consistent with best market practice; Participate in initial / ongoing due diligence on AIFMs, Central Administrators, and other relevant third parties, Ensure such services are provided in accordance with the CSSF''s approved operating models; Participate to the fund industry working groups and remain networked with the industry to ensure Company remains consistent with the depositary industry best practice; Upon request, attend board meetings of the AIFs for which Depositary services are provided; Assist with the management of regulatory inspections, together with external and internal audit reviews; Develop trusted day-to-day relationships with our primarily, but not limited to American Alternative clients; Engage with and support the Head of Depositary in securing new mandates, by representing the Depositary function as part of such sales/prospecting processes, where required. Professional Experience: The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the Depositary business (between. 2 to 3 years) with a focus on Private Equity and Real Estate; Knowledge of Luxembourg laws and regulations, along with relevant EU Directives, guidelines, and other industry standards. Personal Attributes: Comfortable in presenting to fund boards and to senior management, with a precise, concise and articulate style, both verbal and in writing; The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and possess a high level of motivation, tenacity, agility and ability to work pro-actively with a constant focus on delivering consistent quality of service to our clients; Analytical mind, able to interpret regulatory frameworks technically and from a business strategy perspective; Flexibility and an eagerness to learn more about Private Equity, as well as, willingness to expand expertise in all Depositary related areas; Languages: fluent in English, both verbal and in writing; fluency in French and German is considered an advantage.
