Liquid lenses have been Optotunes core business since its inception in 2008. While they are used in many different applications, the machine vision segment has become the largest - and the growth has only just started! Partnerships with objective lens makers and camera companies result in more seamless end-user integration and multiply our market access. Your job is to understand market requirements & trends, find new applications in the imaging space, define the next generation of liquid lens products, expand strategic partnerships, and scale the business.
Tasks
- Strategic development of Optotunes machine vision business
- Acquisition of new customers worldwide
- Development of strategic partnerships with key players of the ecosystem
- Market research & definition of new products
- Creation of sales & training materials, business plans and go-to-market strategies
- Content creation for marketing materials
- Participation in trade shows
Requirements
- Must have a technical background (MSc or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in machine vision
- Experience in management consulting is advantageous
- Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships
- Ability to understand customers'' technical requirements and suggest solutions
- Passion for technology & innovation, winning personality, well organized, autonomous, and prepared to travel internationally
- Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, other languages advantageous
- Good working knowledge in MS Office applications
