The Opportunity
As part of their global expansion, our client is seeking a Sales Director to join their EMEA/Global commercial leadership team. This is a second-line leadership role based in Amsterdam, with strategic oversight of regional and global sales initiatives.
Youll inherit and lead a high-performing team of three Sales Managers, each managing teams of 6+ Account Executives. This is a pivotal role in driving new revenue growth, scaling the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, and collaborating cross-functionally to impact ARR globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach 3 Sales Managers and their respective AE teams across EMEA and global territories.
- Own and drive the execution of the GTM sales strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to ensure a cohesive sales motion.
- Analyze sales metrics to identify trends, forecast revenue, and optimize team performance.
- Champion a hands-on leadership approach actively supporting teams in complex deals and strategic accounts.
- Play a key role in scaling operations and driving international growth in new and existing markets.
Requirements
- Proven track record in a second-line sales leadership role within high-growth SaaS, AI, or cloud-based environments.
- Experience leading and developing Sales Managers and scaling teams across multiple geographies.
- Strong GTM acumen with a data-driven approach to performance and growth.
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced, and dynamic startup/unicorn setting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
