Elicio nv is a Belgian company specializing in renewable energy, focusing on the development, financing, construction, and operation of onshore and offshore wind power plants. The group operates mid-sized to large-scale wind projects in Belgium, France, Serbia, Spain, and Scotland.
To support our rapid growth, we are looking for an IT Expert to help streamline business operations and support the organization''s IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
As you will be working closely with the IT Manager, you will play a key role within the company at the headquarters in Ostend. Your role involves overseeing the company''s IT systems, including networks, databases, servers, and virtual machines. In your key role for functional IT-support, you will also participate in an on-duty role together with your IT colleagues and the IT Manager to answer escalation calls.You will be closely involved in developing the IT strategy and execution of transformational and strategic IT initiatives and projects as well as providing operational support for our teams in France, Serbia and Spain.You will report to the IT Manager of Elicio.
Profile, education & experience
- At least a bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar IT role.
- Proven experience with at least 5 of the following: Microsoft O365, Cybersecurity, Networking, cloud-based (SaaS) and self-hosted applications, server infrastructures (physical and virtual), storage solutions (cloud-based and on-prem), network&infrastructure monitoring and ITIL Service Management.
- Experience with the setup and management of virtual machines and hardware.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern asset-management, monitoring and Service-Management platforms.
- Strong service-mindset and the ability to find and implement a short-term fix with a long-term plan that is aligned with the company and IT objectives.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Main tasks & responsibilities
- Implementing IT strategies that align with the company''s objectives.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining network protocols, database structures, and server infrastructures.
- Being responsible for selection, upgrades and optimal functioning of software monitoring tools for operational wind assets.
- Ensuring timely and optimal integration of new wind farm assets in the IT parameter of the company.
- Ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems, with a focus on cybersecurity and reliability.
- Coordinating and managing the setup and maintenance of virtual machines and hardware.
- Organizing regular meetings with external vendors to ensure contractual agreements are met.
- Assisting with the deployment of network installations and internet connectivity solutions.
- Providing support for international operations.
- Monitoring and optimizing cloud-based services.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Staying updated with the latest IT developments and trends to keep the company at the forefront of technology such as data-platforms and AI initiatives.
