• Inspiring the team to make sure every customer has a brilliant experience so wherever our customers are going, you can be sure they will always be happy to come back to our stores.
• Guide and engage the store team to deliver excellent standards and results in line with exceeding expectations.
• Coach, guide, and create a culture of learning, support, and recognition - spotting opportunities for development of personal skills, product knowledge and self-awareness to support our colleagues in an environment where everyone feels valued and welcome.
• Creating a sense of pride within the store to ensure both colleagues and customer facilities are of a great standard, and that we are operating safely and legally.

What experience do I need?

Joining WHSmith as a Deputy Manager, it would be great to have Retail or Hospitality experience but what is just as important is that you are in your element when inspiring a team! You lead by example, showing your team what great always looks like. With this approach, youll win the respect of staff at every level, getting the best from each individual and encouraging them to develop. Commercially sharp, you know that putting customers first is key to meeting targets and budgets, and youll take full responsibility for the stores Profit & Loss account.

• Intermediate Level of English.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office
