Introduction

Our client is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of semiconductor-chip-making equipment. A majority of the worlds microchips receive their critical lithographic patterning in machines made by our client. In addition, our client produces metrology tools and advanced applications to analyze and optimize the performance of the customer production process.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require our client to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Design, build, implement and maintain the infrastructure platforms that serve as development environment for the our client software development community.

Job Description

Our team designs , build , implement and maintain the infrastructure platforms that are used to build the applications and services. Were constantly improving towards using CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code to improve the capability and quality of the platform, tools and interfaces.

Requirements

As a DevOps engineer in our team you will be:

Part of an Agile team responsible for Infrastructure platforms

Interacting directly with end-users and co-developing teams to share your expertise

Empowered to make autonomous decisions and challenge to maintain a healthy balance between state-of-the-art technology, security, performance, and stability

Your responsibilities

Design and implement the Infra platform services with the team

Make the platforms reliable by improving system resilience (bug-fixing and beyond)

Performing and reporting on in-depth investigations to support decision making processes

Building proof of concepts and prototypes

Designing and implementing the solutions chosen for production

Education Experience

Experienced as a Senior Solaris admin with knowledge on Solaris 8, 10 and 11 (hard requirement).

Knowledge of Oracle/Sun hardware including virtualization ; CDOM, LDOM , (Branded) Zones.

Familiar with at high-level programming languages such as Python, Shell Scripting.

Experienced with DevOps way of working , CICD pipelines etc.

Understanding of basic infrastructure elements, such as networking, DNS, DHCP, Directory Services, storage solutions.

Experienced with Linux preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Experienced with Ansible Configuration Management, puppet (nice to have)

Familiarity with Agile / SAFe.

Context of the position

You will be working in the department IT Solution Delivery Software which is responsible for the development environments (software and hardware) used by our client software developers in order to produce commercial software products. This environment consists of an integrated development, build, test and release environment and must be capable to support Continuous Integration throughout the lifecycle and configuration management of the our client product software.

The environment is developed and maintained in close cooperation with the our client software development community (more than 5000 developers within multiple departments).
