Position Overview
As the Service Technician Manager Excavators at SANY Benelux B.V. , you will be responsible for managing and supporting the technical capabilities of our regional dealers service personnel , rather than leading an internal technician team. Your primary focus will be to deliver hands-on technical training, implement skill certification systems, and provide professional guidance to dealer service teams. This role is critical to improving service quality, strengthening technical competencies, and ensuring a consistent and high-standard after-sales experience for our customers across the Benelux region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs (basic, intermediate, advanced) for dealer service technicians
- Deliver technical workshops, on-site practical training sessions, and virtual courses
- Build and manage a technician certification system to ensure competency and consistency
- Audit and assess dealer service operations, repair quality, and compliance with SANY standards
- Provide advanced technical support for complex excavator failures and troubleshooting
- Collect and report recurring technical issues to headquarters for product and service improvement
- Assist dealers in establishing standardized repair documentation and service reporting systems
- Monitor and support the achievement of key service KPIs (e.g., first-time fix rate, response time)
- Act as a liaison between dealer technicians and SANYs European technical support team
- Contribute to the development and localization of service manuals, training materials, and technical documentation
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in excavator after-sales service, with a strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems
- Experience working with or supporting dealer networks is highly preferred
- Strong training, coaching, and communication skills; able to explain complex technical topics clearly
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skill is a plus
- Willingness to travel frequently within the Benelux region
- Proficient in MS Office and service management or training platforms
