The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsible for their technical duties. Capable of working autonomously and under supervision, coordinating with peers, and working on offshore and onshore projects, providing consultancy mainly on seismic issues.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop seismotectonic models from data such as earthquake catalogues, geological/geophysical information, and active fault data.Understand probability and statistics, and gain proficiency in all steps of seismic hazard modelling.Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory; knowledge of Italian is a plus.Experience with seismic software packages like Openquake and programming languages such as Matlab or Python is desirable.Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, sometimes under pressure, always meeting deadlines.EducationMasters Degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering.QualificationsAt least 2 years of professional experience in seismic hazard analysis.Relevant MSc or PhD in Earth Sciences, Geophysics, or Engineering Seismology.Ability to see the big picture and reinterpret situations accordingly.Ability to build trust and forge relationships across departments and outside the organization.Embrace client needs, expectations, and requirements.Take others'' opinions into account and remain open to diversity.Structure activities according to priorities and resources.Recognize emotions and regulate reactions.Embrace change actively and benefit from new circumstances.Promote sustainable development and keep promises as a role model.Translate experiences into future action plans.With over 5,800 employees and 200 offices worldwide, RINA provides certification, marine classification, testing, supervision, inspection, training, and engineering consultancy services across sectors.
