It has opened the first two Italian properties in Milan and plans to open a third brand new Italian property in January 2025.MAIN DUTIES:Train and guide the Assistant General Manager to support all main activities and duties, enabling them to report and assist effectively.Take responsibility for the daily operation of the building, ensuring it is clean and safe.Provide effective leadership to meet key objectives.Coordinate the facilities team.Ensure all invoices are processed promptly with appropriate codes and within the approved budget.Manage statutory and regulatory compliance, including fire safety, water safety, H&S, and other audits.Ensure maintenance is completed within defined timeframes.Assist with Debt Management and interact respectfully with students.Manage the rota and work scheduling for the facilities team.Assist with building management to ensure smooth operations during student arrivals, departures, summer turnarounds, and refurbishment programs.Understand HR issues and handle or escalate them professionally in line with legal frameworks.Ensure all work complies with company policies and guidelines.Resolve student complaints effectively.Ensure necessary training is provided.Maintain the overall appearance and condition of the building.Take overall responsibility for summer cleaning and maintenance programs.Travel to other buildings for audits as needed.Create a warm, welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors.Assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.Review reports on Debt, Income, and occupancy regularly.PERSON SPECIFICATION:Experience in delivering excellent customer service.Good understanding of tenancy management and housing legislation.Proven sales and marketing results.Ability to write reports and present performance indicators.Strong IT skills, including experience with in-house systems like Starrez, Mews, etc.Effective communication skills at all levels.Problem-solving skills and initiative.Experience in student accommodation, leisure, hospitality, or building management is preferable.Experience in pastoral care and recognizing issues affecting students.Knowledge of student-related issues.Ability to handle sensitive issues appropriately.Influencing skills and professionalism in challenging situations.Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.Willingness to learn and develop continually.Availability to attend relevant training sessions.Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.Ability to work independently.DESIRABLE:Previous hospitality / student housing experience in Italy.Check Your Resume for MatchUpload your resume, and our tool will compare it to the job requirements, similar to recruiters.#J-18808-Ljbffr
