In our global community of people from 100+ countries, we listen, contribute, and grow together.Join us in building a future home.About the role:Within our Global R&D site, the APD (Advanced Product Development) Dish Care Architecture team seeks a highly motivated engineer to lead technical development and create innovative, efficient appliances and relevant consumer experiences.APD systematically evaluates and tests new technologies for developing new or next-generation products and production methods. Its goal is to reduce uncertainties related to technology, feasibility, timing, and costs that cannot be managed in standard product development projects.Projects vary in size and scope, from theoretical to concrete, technical to market-oriented, often with high uncertainty. APD also monitors technology trends.What will you do:You will engage in various projects, from leading technical initiatives to supporting other project leaders. Your main goal is to develop cross-functional estimation and control algorithms aligned with consumer benefits as defined by the Product Board and Control Team Leader.Responsibilities include:Proposing estimation and control strategies within set timing and cost targets.Implementing strategies in simulation environments and on rapid control prototyping systems.Defining and implementing signal processing algorithms.Contributing to the APD Technology Roadmap for control technology.Ensuring new product features meet global standards and regional requirements (performance, modularity, safety, cost, IP, quality, standards, design for assembly, performance variances).Writing technical documentation and algorithms specifications for transfer to GTD and Labs.Leading projects as Project Leader.Collaborating within heterogeneous teams (chemical, physics, mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, etc.).Who you are:University degree in Systems and Control, Electronics Engineering, or similar; PhD is a plus.At least 2 years of R&D experience, with project leadership experience; experience in household appliances is a plus.Knowledge of classical and advanced control, with applications to mechanics, dynamics, hydraulics, and machine learning/AI.Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink; LabView is a plus.Ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, user-friendly solutions.Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Italian.Ability to work in an international environment and in a matrix organization, building strong relationships across functions and external contacts.Where you''ll be:Based at the modern Porcia Office, a global R&D center with a team of highly qualified engineers focused on transforming lives through innovation.
