Aiming to strengthen our Transportation Department for an important global project based in Turin area, Italy, we are recruiting a
SYSTEM INTEGRATION AND TEST ENGINEER - RAIL CONNECTIVITY PRODUCTS
Job location: Turin area
The selected resource, in close cooperation with the development department, will work end to end on Companys projects (2-3 years approximately) and will be in charge for the following key activities:
- Contributing to the concept and definition of a functioning overall solution;
- Integration of individual software modules and devices into the overall system;
- Preparing test systems, in coordination with the software developers;
- Development of test concepts/specifications, test automation, planning of test facilities and execution of extensive system tests for the software;
- Error analysis and commissioning with the Customer;
- Customer training for maintenance and commissioning.
Qualification Requirements
- MSc Degree in the field of Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Automation Engineering or Computer Science, or similar background;
- At least 1-2 years hands-on experience related to development and/or system integration of distributed embedded systems with IP communication;
- Ideally, exposure to software test operations on embedded systems, and test automation;
- Knowledge of Linux, networking (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, routing), virtualization (Docker/Vagrant/VirtualBox), scripting (Python, Shell), IT security, cryptography and troubleshooting would be advantageous;
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Commitment, precision, flexibility, proactivity, reliability;
- Self-organization/self-motivation oriented mindset, excellent team-work attitude;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines;
- Proficiency in English (at least C1) for direct customer contact and the creation of technical documents;
- Fluent in Italian;
- Availability for business trips (mainly in Europe) at Customer site (2-7 days trips usually).
