We need you to:The Senior Microfluidic Engineer at Bioherent will be responsible for the development and design of manifold and blister based macro and microfluidic systems. In this role, you will be required to lead process design and development to create commercial versions of the products, working in a fab-less environment. Your responsibilities will include:Designing Cartridges, Manifolds, and other fluidic systems for fabricationFocused on prototyping in industrial biomedical environmentIntegrating devices such as valves, blisters, etc.Deep knowledge and experience in plastic part design for mold injectionInterfacing with external foundries regarding design rules, process tolerances, and layout requirements, ensuring the smooth productionTesting of designed devices to assess performance and possible design improvements to enhance yield while meeting all applicable specifications. This includes the design and realization of specific fluidic measurement setups
Required skills:BSc in engineering, life sciences and/or healthcare2 years of experience in prototyping microfluidic devicesExperience with simulation software for microfluidicsAdvanced knowledge in CAD Software (Alibre, Solidworks, etc.)Ability to design and manufacture functional prototypesDeep knowledge of physical principles related to microfluidicsCommunication skills, accuracy, willingness to learn, work independentlyFluent in English, writing and speaking
Preferred skills:PhD in engineering, life sciences and/or healthcareBasic knowledge and understanding in opticsMaterial science background regarding life scienceWell-versed in MATLAB, R or PythonM.Sc. in an engineering area or physics
