The Legal Services and Corporate Secretary (LSCS) team is led by the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and is made up of two teams - Legal Services and Governance and Membership. This position is part of the Legal Services team which is further divided into three legal workstreams - Advocacy, Standards, and Commercial.
Provide independent, reactive and proactive legal advice on diverse substantive and procedural questions of considerable complexity, which may include those related to labour law, administrative law, litigation, dispute resolution, administration and management, procurement, and contracts, through the following activities:
- University degree in law (LLB, JD, LLM) from an internationally recognized university,
- Admission to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction, preferably the UK, an EU member state, Canada, US, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Fifteen years post legal qualification experience in increasingly responsible positions in an organization, government department, or law firm with a significant portion of that experience relevant to labour law.
- Expertise in labour law, administrative law, including labour investigations and dispute resolution.
- Significant legal professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Superior written and oral communication skills in English.
- Time management skills.
