Hyatt Regency Rome Central is seeking a skilled IT Supervisor to join our pre-opening team.
Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a newly renovated contemporary 5 star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italys most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.
The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.
Main duties and responsibilities:
As the IT Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems within the hotel, supporting both the staff and guests in a fast-paced, exclusive environment.
In detail:
- Oversee and manage the hotels IT systems, including servers, networks, telecommunications, and security systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues across all departments.
- Ensure the integrity and security of the hotels IT infrastructure, including data backups and network security measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement technology solutions that enhance guest services and operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, procedures, and policies.
- Supervise IT vendors, ensuring quality service and timely delivery of IT-related services.
- Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and other technology assets.
- Deliver support for events, assisting with technical issues and ensuring all IT requirements are met.
- Lead and train hotel staff on the usage of IT systems
- Monitor system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and recommend improvements to optimize hotel operations.
Skills and requirements:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS, POS), networking, and telecommunication systems.
- Experience with security protocols, firewalls, and data protection measures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in both hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
