We are recruiting a Store Manager in Bruges for our client, one of the most iconic makeup brands. About the Role
The Store Manager is the Brand Ambassador, responsible for driving the in-store customer experience, sales performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs), in alignment with brand strategy. They lead, train, and motivate the team while ensuring the correct application of all company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Create and maintain a high-performance, motivated, and low-turnover team environment.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and support the team to deliver an engaging customer experience and achieve business goals.
- Plan schedules and manage time-off requests based on business needs.
- Train the team on products, makeup techniques, and selling strategies to ensure an exceptional customer experience collaborate with the Customer Experience Trainer to meet development needs.
- Ensure regular performance reviews and development conversations are conducted in line with company objectives.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE / COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Ensure commercial KPIs are met, define corrective action plans, and report market trends to the Area Manager.
- Achieve targets set with the Area Manager (customer experience, sales, cost control).
- Prioritize in-store actions with the highest business impact and develop a quarterly action plan.
- Monitor team training, quizzes, and development tools on a regular basis.
- Continuously track key metrics such as like-for-like growth, conversion rate, average basket size, and shrinkage.
IMPLEMENTATION OF PROCEDURES & POLICIES
- Ensure the store is fully compliant with brand standards and procedures.
- Guarantee full application of internal processes.
- Implement and follow the promotional calendar.
- Oversee the execution of all in-store operational procedures.
- Regularly review procedures and immediately address any issues in compliance with company policies.
PROFILE
- 3 to 4 years of experience in store management.
- Fluent in French and Flemish (Dutch).
- Strong leadership skills and customer service mindset.
- Solid knowledge of sales and merchandising.
- Ability to manage inventory and stock levels.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility with working hours.
- Previous experience with store openings is a plus.
