Were hiring a Senior Account Manager to lead our operations in Ghent for a multinational engineering business active across Belgium, the Netherlands, and broader Europe. With over 130 employees in Belgium alone, we combine the best of both worlds: technical consultancy and high-end machine building. This dual focus keeps the work dynamic, challenging, and full of opportunity.
With the recent departure of the local Business Manager, this is a high-impact role with real autonomy and visibility offering a clear pathway toward Business Unit Manager and potentially up to C-level leadership within our international group.
What Youll Do:
- Lead and grow the Ghent business unit managing operations, clients, consultants, and project delivery
- Be the face of the company for your region: manage client relationships, pitch new business, and ensure delivery excellence
- Make key hiring decisions, lead interviews, and shape your own team
- Develop and execute sales and growth strategies while staying close to the technical side
- Collaborate across Belgian and European offices, with regular exposure to other business units and leadership teams
- Be part of shaping the future both locally and at group level
What You Bring:
- A technical background in electro-mechanical engineering or similar (must-have)
- Experience in sales, account management, or project leadership in a technical context
- 10+ years of experience, ideally 1520, with a strong foundation in engineering
- Fluent in Dutch, with English and French as strong assets
- A people-first mindset you enjoy mentoring, leading, and building strong teams
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ambition to move into senior leadership/C-level roles over time
