A globally recognised high-frequency trading firm is seeking a highly skilled Engineer to join its global storage engineering team. This is an opportunity to work for one of the most advanced trading firms in the world, designing and optimising high-performance storage systems that handle vast amounts of data at ultra-low latency. The role requires expertise in storage system design, Linux on bare-metal infrastructure, and automation with Python, Golang, or Bash. You will play a key role in ensuring the speed, reliability, and efficiency of mission-critical storage infrastructure, working within a high-performance, data-driven environment. Responsibilities Design and optimise high-performance storage systems to support low-latency trading Manage and improve large-scale storage architectures to handle vast amounts of real-time data Maintain and fine-tune bare-metal Linux infrastructure for storage solutions Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, Golang, or Bash Collaborate with traders, network engineers, and systems teams to enhance storage performance Requirements At least five years of experience in storage system design and optimisation Proven experience designing and maintaining complex, large-scale storage solutions Strong Linux skills, particularly in bare-metal environments Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Golang, or Bash Experience in high-performance computing Salary Up to 120,000 basic salary per annum 20% annual bonus Company benefits Location: Amsterdam (first 2 months on-site and then moving to hybrid) This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Storage Engineer to take on a high-impact role within a world-class trading firm.
