The Trust, Security and Privacy and the Algorithms and Computational Mathematics Units of IIT-CNR (Pisa, Italy) are scouting for talented researchers. We are collecting expressions of interest for the following research topic:Design and development of innovative solutions to ensure secure, private and green communications, both intra and extra vehicles.IIT-CNR will open a formal call for a Researcher fellowship position. The scouting process is intended to advertise the above topic in view of the call. It is planned that IIT-CNR will formally open the position shortly, aiming at starting the activities in March.Candidate profileIdeal candidates should have obtained a master degree in Computer Science, Wireless Networking, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electronic engineering or closely related disciplines.Competences:A. Knowledge aboutcybersecuritymechanisms in the automotive domain.B. Knowledge of intra-/inter-/extra-vehicularcommunication protocolsand technologies.C. Knowledge of domain-specific safety andprivacy standards and regulations .D. Knowledge of programming languages such asJava, C, C++, Python .E. Proficiency in the English language.Topic descriptionModern cars are equipped with a huge amount of electronic components whose functionality is managed at software level. For this reason, it is necessary to guarantee not only hardware security but also software security of such components. One of the objectives will therefore be to guarantee secure software design and development (SSDLC), techniques and protocols at operating system level and tailored for intra- and extra-vehicular communication (V2V, V2I, V2X).The activities of this topic will be supported by PNRR SERICS Spoke 7 SCAR -Securing the third millennium Cyber CARs project. The SCAR project aims at prototyping, verifying and validating innovative and intelligent technologies for both Hardware and Software security of modern cars in their ecosystem, while respecting current standards, privacy rights and legal aspects.Further information:ilaria.matteucci@iit.cnr.it
