Responsibilities
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following activities and responsibilities:
Planning/Strategy
- Drive the development, planning, and execution of an integrated global product line strategy including asset, technology, & brand to deliver against KPIs.
- Develop and refresh the 5-year NWC & growth Capex plan for the product line, reconciling conflicts with cash goals.
- Drive cost productivity and assess competitive cost position and industry S/C ratio.
- Set quality standards, COGS/COM targets.
- Collaborate with Procurement on raw material and purchase strategy.
- Work with Sales/Marketing to set service levels, lead times, and MOQ.
- Develop global market plans with Marketing.
- Ensure supply-demand balance across a 5-year strategic view.
- Prioritize supply (make/buy) decisions in consultation with Global Supply Chain.
Product Portfolio
- Drive SKU optimization and rationalization globally.
- Maintain global product specifications and datasheets.
- Align plant MOC process with market needs.
- Make allocation decisions based on established principles.
- Guide global inventory management.
- Monitor quality trends and recommend improvements.
- Address sustainability issues and develop stakeholder engagement plans.
- Oversee R&D program execution aligned with priorities.
- Lead new product development through the stage-gate process.
- Participate in demand and supply reviews.
- Collaborate on value propositions and approve product samples.
- Prioritize changes for new product launches and supply chain adjustments.
- Lead annual product specification reviews and customer visits.
Pricing
- Set regional/global floor prices aligned with strategy.
- Manage transfer prices with JVs and internal teams.
KPIs
- Global and regional margin performance for Opteon.
- Quality improvement metrics.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications include:
- 3+ years in business/marketing/customer-facing roles.
- 3+ years in Operations, Supply Chain, or Contract Manufacturing.
- Bachelors or Masters degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, or Technology.
- Strong business acumen and leadership skills.
- Analytical and decision-making skills with a risk-aware approach.
- Ability to forecast issues and communicate effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with initiative and accountability.
- Willingness to travel internationally (~20%) and across time zones (~10-15%).
Preferred Skills
- Leadership through influence.
- Experience in direct sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
