Ohmium Sales Engineer Job DescriptionOhmium is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Engineer who thrives in diverse business environments and can adapt to varying business models. In this pivotal role, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving proposal and contract development, managing order processes, and providing essential frontline deal desk support to the European Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully driving proposal and contract development, managing order processes, and demonstrating enthusiasm for continuous business process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales Europe, this individual contributor position has a global scope, supporting Ohmium''s commercial initiatives worldwide.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerating high-quality sales leads: Following up initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.Providing technical presentations: Explaining our company''s products or services to customers.Discussing with customers and engineers: Equipment needs and system requirements.Collaborating with sales teams: Understanding customer requirements and providing sales support.Tender and Offer Preparation: Enhancing sales team productivity by preparing high-quality tenders, offers, and internal alignment documents. Ensuring all Sales Representatives have up-to-date support materials.Order Handling and Verification: Processing orders received via email, ensuring accuracy in prices, discounts, and product numbers. Inputting orders that adhere to customer requirements and ensuring timely and accurate delivery.Cross-Department Collaboration: Building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including operations, legal, and finance departments to handle sales, marketing queries, and deliveries efficiently.Proposal and Contract Development: Serving as a trusted advisor to Ohmium''s Commercial and Legal Teams, standardizing, driving, and supporting the proposal, contract development, and order management processes.Document Review: Reviewing proposals, contracts, and other documents for accuracy and completeness, suggesting creative solutions that balance customer needs and company policies.Commercial Governance: Ensuring all proposals, contracts, tenders, and related documents are approved within the commercial governance framework.Contract Negotiation Management: Overseeing the contract negotiation lifecycle, ensuring new and emerging terms are vetted and approved by the appropriate audiences within Ohmium.CRM Data Accuracy and Enhancements: Collaborating with Commercial Operations to ensure data accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and recommending system enhancements.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrating exceptional analytical abilities to dissect complex contract and tender data, identify patterns, and develop strategic solutions. Addressing issues swiftly and effectively to ensure optimal outcomes.Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail: Managing multiple contracts and tenders simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Ensuring meticulous review and compliance with standards and requirements.Independence and Team Collaboration: Working independently with initiative and ownership, while also fostering a collaborative team environment.Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effectively conveying complex information through strong written and verbal communication, and building productive relationships with internal teams and external partners.Desired BackgroundMinimum of 2-4 years experience in sales engineering, equipment sales management, or related roles; experience with capital equipment or manufacturing businesses is a plus.Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM; experience with CPQ / CLM tools is advantageous.Strong to expert proficiency in MS Office.Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.Ohmium is an equal opportunity employer.
