This role is very broad and requires a generalist with the willingness to handle the entire spectrum of operational and conceptual tasks that are specific to the compliance function of a bank.
Yours responsibilities:
- Acting as a central point of contact, support and sparring partner for Compliance-related topics
- Monitoring and helping ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements
- Supporting the execution of Compliance audits and controls
- Analysing and clarifying transaction backgrounds and assisting in due diligence processes
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures, and continuously improving Compliance processes
- Supporting, advising and training employees on Compliance-related matters
- Assisting in the implementation of regulatory requirements and the development and review of internal directives
- Supporting the improvement of current and the implementation of new IT systems
Requirements:
- University degree in law, economics or business administration
- 3 years Compliance experience, ideally in the area Private Banking / Wealth Management
- Basic knowhow of the Swiss AML law, CDB 20, Sanctions, Customer Due Diligence, FATCA, AEoI, Cross Border, Financial Services Act, etc.
- Ideally a Latin American background with an understanding of the Latin American financial market, the US financial system, and how financial institutions operate
- Team player who is persuasive and assertive, able to stay focused and professional in demanding or constantly changing environments, with strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken Spanish is must, fluent in English, German is as an advantage
- Analytical mindset with a precise, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Interest in new technologies and a natural affinity for IT
