bioMrieux Benelux S.A./N.V. Cluster Medical DirectorAs a Cluster Medical Director, reporting to the Cluster VP, youwill lead the development and execution of the cluster''s medicalstrategy, ensuring alignment with bioMrieux''s global objectivesand addressing regional medical needs. You will demonstrate themedical value of our IVD solutions through evidence generation anddissemination, and communicate this value effectively tostakeholders. Additionally, you will educate stakeholders to ensurethe use of IVD translates into improved patient care. You will alsoserve as a leader for strategic cross-functional initiatives,manage the cluster medical team, and foster a collaborative andinnovative work environment. What will be your main missions? 1.Lead the development and execution of the cluster''s medicalstrategy, ensuring alignment with bioMrieux''s global objectivesand addressing regional & clusters medical needs. 2. Developand maintain the highest scientific and medical knowledge in therelevant fields and be acknowledged internally and externally as anexpert and provide medical support to them as well as contribute tothe development of high-impact training and train/coach tobioMrieux commercial teams to ensure they can promote the medicalvalue of bioMrieux solutions. 3. Implement and execute medicalaffairs strategy for the main product ranges, driving activitiesthat will lead to successful launches and post-launch successfuldelivery on the defined objectives for the product. 4. SupportPrincipal Investigators and follow up on study proposals alignedwith bioMrieux evidence generation strategy. 5. Develop anddeliver high-impact communication and educational programs forinternal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring they arewell-equipped to communicate the medical value of bioMrieux''ssolutions, alone or in collaboration withprofessional/medical/patient societies, and associations. 6. Fosterand maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders(KOLs), scientific societies, and patient associations to advocatefor the value of diagnostics and enhance patient management.Organize and lead medical advisory board meetings to gatherinsights and drive strategic initiatives. 7. Support companycommercial objectives, such as marketing and other stakeholders inthe company, ensuring compliance and regulatory alignment. 8. Leadthe MSL team by setting clear objectives, providing feedback, andfostering collaboration. Implement performance management to ensuregoal achievement and skill development. Encourage growth throughmentorship and training, and manage projects to ensure timelycompletion. 9. Ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration withthe cluster leadership team. Who are you? 1. MD and an advanceddegree in health science (Master or PhD) highly preferred. 2.Excellent knowledge of hospital/clinical/medical environment andable to challenge medical needs and assess hazards associated withpatient care. 3. Proven expertise in Infectious Diseases, AcuteCare or Critical Care and at least 3 years of experience in medicalaffairs in the IVD or pharma industry will be valued. 4. Provenexperience in medical/scientific activities including research,clinical trials. 5. Fluent in English, oral &written/scientific & colloquial; Dutch and/or French will bevalued. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (bothfor scientific communication and educational purposes). 7. Strongbusiness acumen and robust understanding of the regulatory space.8. Management and leadership skills with a minimum of 5 years ofproven experience leading teams, preferably at Iberia scope. 9.Able to take initiative and be comfortable working bothautonomously with minimal supervision and as part of across-functional team. 10. Able to build relationships withinternal stakeholders, to innovate and to demonstrate flexibility.11. Progressive mindset, with the ability to balance scientific,medical and commercial needs. 12. Availability to travel bothnationally and internationally (40% approx.).
