The Joint Office of the WSBI and ESBG is seeking a skilled and motivated Communications & Events Advisor to join our dynamic and close-knit Communications Team in Brussels.

This is a unique opportunity for a communications professional with strong copywriting abilities and a proven track record in event planning to contribute to a global network of savings and retail banks committed to inclusive, responsible, and sustainable finance.


About the Role

As Communications & Events Advisor, you will be responsible for creating and distributing engaging content, managing high-profile institutional events from A to Z, and overseeing the delivery of impactful visual and written communication materials.

The position demands a high degree of autonomy, and attention to detail, requiring initiative, creativity, and adaptability to drive successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Content Development and Distribution:

Produce, compile, and distribute ESBGs weekly and monthly digital newsletters.

Draft and edit compelling written content on a range of regulatory and non-regulatory topics including events, campaigns, publications, and high-level meetings.

Ensure editorial consistency, brand alignment, and content clarity in all outputs.

Event Planning and Execution:

Lead the planning and execution of various events, including conferences, workshops, and webinars, both in-person and virtual.


Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on-site management.

Draft and deliver all event-related written materials, including invitations, digital mailings and thank-you notes.

Develop comprehensive event communication strategies, encompassing pre-event promotion, real-time engagement, and post-event follow-up.

Video & Multimedia Production:

Plan, script, film, and edit videos for a variety of formats and audiences ranging from institutional campaigns, interviews, and policy explainers to short-form social media clips.

Take the lead in producing video content to support WSBI-ESBG''s strategic communication goals, such as advocacy efforts, global campaigns (e.g. World Savings Day), and member engagement initiatives.

Collaborate with the team to develop multimedia storytelling strategies that increase visibility of key priorities, publications, and thought leadership pieces.

Ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines and is optimized for various platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, X, website).


Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in a similar role for example within a corporate, association, or institutional environment.

Exceptional writing and editing skills in English (C2 level), with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.

Demonstrated experience in managing events of various scales, preferably in an international or European context.

Solid knowledge of audiovisual content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and digital communication platforms (e.g. JungleMail, Mailchimp, WordPress).

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Tech-savvy mindset to adapt quickly to new platforms and tools.

Collaborative attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Desirable:

Knowledge of EU institutions and decision-making processes;

Previous experience in the banking industry or a trade association might be considered an additional asset.

Knowledge of other European languages
