SIX is looking for a Head Regulatory . The Head Regulatory is responsible for tracking new regulations, coordinating the implementation of new regulations, and managing interactions with regulators. The Head Regulatory also manages an international team of four to six legal professionals and oversees the overall regulatory framework of the Group. In this role, you report to the General Counsel and are a member of the Legal & Regulatory Leadership Team (LLT).
The Group accounts for 112 legal entities, of which 21 are regulated by financial regulators and/or national banks, including FINMA, SNB, CNMV, and ESMA.
Responsibilities
- Establish efficient standards and processes to track and assess new regulations relevant to SIX Group legal entities and ensure a coordinated approach across the Group for their implementation.
- Provide non-Business Unit specific regulatory advice.
- Maintain an overview of key communications with regulators and national banks; prepare, accompany, and follow up on regulatory meetings to ensure consistent communication.
- Participate in the review process of consultations led by the Public Affairs team.
- Adopt the Legal & Regulatory function standards and processes.
- Manage an international team of legal professionals and achieve budget objectives.
As a member of the LLT
- Actively participate in managing SIX Groups material legal and regulatory risks and initiatives and in setting, monitoring, and enhancing the legal and regulatory framework.
- Work collaboratively with LLT members to implement the Functions strategy and key initiatives.
- Act as a role model of SIX Values and legal profession values, particularly independence, impartiality, and integrity; coach others.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Promote the Function internally and externally, including representing SIX at external events.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in financial services regulations.
- Experience managing international teams responsible for regulatory matters.
- Experience establishing standards and processes across a group of legal entities regulated in different jurisdictions.
- Recognized as a leader, with strong collaborative skills, attention to detail, and pragmatism; values simplicity over complexity, discretion, and efficiency.
- Ability to act as a change agent, demonstrating courage and a sense of urgency.
- Fluency in English and German; Spanish is a plus.
