About the Role
We''re hiring an experienced QA Automation Engineer for a SAAS tech company.
You''ll be embedded across two development teams , working closely with developers to ensure quality is built into the software delivery process. This is a hands-on role , where you will also be writing automated tests, performing code reviews, and contributing directly to CI/CD workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Own the quality strategy for your assigned teams and repositories.
Write and maintain robust automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium , and TypeScript/JavaScript .
Champion a test-first mindset , ensuring quality is considered early in the dev cycle.
Actively participate in code reviews and pair with developers to improve test coverage and reliability.
Support and maintain workflows, pipelines, and quality gates within CI/CD.
Engage in exploratory testing to catch issues that automation may miss.
Guide and mentor developers on test best practices.
Collaborate with the broader QA guild and cross-functional teams to align testing strategy and share learnings.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Cypress , Playwright , and Selenium .
Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript .
Solid understanding of test frameworks, best practices, and automation patterns.
Ability to think critically and not just automate - you assess what should be automated and why .
Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality gates.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
