Nexeo is currently looking for a Senior Java Developer for one of our clients in the healthcare & social protection sector in Belgium.
Nexeo is a consultancy company that supports its clients in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors in all phases of their transformation projects: from business consulting to the implementation of IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications within the Flemish Agencies for Healthcare & Social Protection.
- Coach and mentor junior developers on technical design, code reviews, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Apply Service-Oriented Architecture principles and RESTful API design.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with project objectives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Java development.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring developers.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Angular, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, Git.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch.
- Knowledge of English and French is a plus.
- Self-starter with a client-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills.
