Writing compelling proposals with an original, persuasive voice for our largest and most strategic sales opportunities. At Deloitte. Write original content and develop sales messaging in a concise and clear manner; Draft executive summaries to capture and articulate strategic messaging established in the overall pursuit strategy. Tone must be compelling, persuasive, and professional. Work with senior team members to edit and refine content; Bring identified key messages into a narrative that differentiates our position and addresses the specific client need(s); Shape content written by others to be part of a cohesive narrative, written in one voice, so it is clear to the client audience yet maintains technical accuracy; Work as a trusted adviser with the broader sales team and leadership as you write and refine messaging and narrative; Take ownership of developing narrative components including the executive summary, CVs, and qualifications; Ask the right questions to get to relevant messaging in discussions with the sales leadership; Demonstrate the ability to sift through a discussion and extract the most significant information and action items; Elevate risks and issues to the bid manager quickly and efficiently; Work with the Creative Lead to help them develop creative and informative graphics that integrate with the narrative; Provide quality control on the writing for all bid materials; comply with global writing style guide in proposals and presentations; Work with diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution. Qualifications As the Senior writer on the bid, you collaborate effectively in diverse teams and thrive in a highly productive environment and can adapt to challenging tasks with accuracy. You can take ownership of your writing and drive drafts forward with the relevant people, with minimal supervision. Additionally, as Senior Bid writer, you have: - Ideally 10 years + of experience in bid/proposal writing for a professional services organization (consulting, legal, software, services etc.)- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, English, Marketing, or Communications and is fully versed in both Dutch and English languages. Fluency in Dutch is a prerequisite. - Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment; - Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clear for external parties; - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; - Agility and speed in executing strong writing; - Strong executive presence; ability to advise at senior levels: - Intellectual curiosity and ability to get smart quick on a wide variety of topics; - Superior Microsoft Office skills required; - Experience with narrative storytelling a plus; - Experience with Netherlands Public Sector a plus; - Experience working with teams in a professional services or large matrixed organization; - Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage own time and take initiative; - Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and synthesize content from many individuals. Additional information The Senior Bid (Proposal) Writer works as part of the Sales excellence team to write and edit compelling and differentiated proposals and other content for our largest and most important client opportunities. You are somebody who writes for a livingthis is a 100% writing role and writing is your core competency. As a Bid Writer you work on all editorial and narrative aspects of the bid. You focus on writing compelling proposals with an original, persuasive voice, synthesizing and articulating strategic messaging, and editing proposal content contributed by multiple team members.
