Join us as a Country Controller to elevate your career in finance.Make your mark in FinanceOur Finance team plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It provides essential support for the enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to meet stakeholder commitments. The teams work is crucial in informing leadership decisions, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining financial discipline, transparency, controls, and delivering timely, meaningful information.Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate reporting of USGAAP results for the branch, including:Manage communication and monitor adherence to the close calendar with Accenture and local finance teams.Provide USGAAP expertise, ensuring consistent implementation of accounting policies.Oversee the quality of USGAAP ledger postings, including SAP code blocks and charts of accounts.Monitor and report on balance sheet reconciliation progress and quality across all entities.Support the transformation of the Controlling teams to improve data quality, process consistency, and effectiveness.Produce and support queries for local GAAP regulatory reporting, local tax processes, and audits.Coordinate the preparation of country statutory returns, liaising with local teams, external auditors (PWC), and professional service providers (EY, Accenture).Serve as the contact point for external audits, actuarial, risk, and tax teams regarding USGAAP financial reporting issues.Qualifications:Postgraduate experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or relevant corporate finance role in a multinational corporation.Proven controllership experience within an insurance organization.Experience in finance projects or transformations.Technical expertise in US GAAP and European GAAP accounting policies.Fluent in English and Italian.Graduate Qualified Accountant or equivalent.Experience in a multinational organization with diverse geographical locations and matrix reporting is preferred.About AIGReimagining insurance to make a bigger difference to the world.
